Gulmarg, nestled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India, is a breathtaking destination near the India-Pakistan border. Its unique geography makes it an ideal spot for skiing in the Himalayas. In the 16th century, Sultan Yusuf Shah of the Chak Dynasty built a summer palace here, recognizing its natural beauty. The British later transformed it into a resort in the 19th century.
